Valentino Lock Bag in Platin
There are some items that just seem to hang around my wishlist for the longest time. A classic Chanel bag, those cute Aquazzura Flats or a shoulder bag from Valentino. They make my heart skip a beat! Unfortunately, sometimes the way from the pole position of the wishlist to my wardrobe can be a painfully long one, after all, we’re not talking about a bargain buy here. But every once in a while, a dream comes true…
Fashion Investments: These are the rules I play by
For my clothes I do sometimes like to give in to some trends, but with bags and shoes I always find it makes much more sense to invest in timeless, high quality items: You ultimately wear your favorite bag every day, unlike some cute ruffle blouse that might get worn once in a week if you really love it. I think it makes perfect sense to find a bag that is not only a great fit in longevity, but to also make a long-term decision when it comes to the design of the bag. Will I still like the color and the shape of it as much as I do now in a few years time? Is it a practical bag, or is it possibly too heavy or too small to fit my everyday lifestyle? Does it resonate with my style? These are all questions I like to ask myself before investing in a designer bag.
The Valentino Lock bag in platin was on my wishlist for months and years, and I kept debating whether or not to take the plunge. When I decided to get the Valentino Rockstud shoes I knew instantly that this would be the bag for me, even though I’m not really planning to wear the two together. I never really stopped thinking of it. And then my birthday came along…
If you’ve read “Wishlist – The Birthday Girl” you might have already noticed this: As you can see in today’s post, even two of my wishes came true! A few days after my birthday the postman brought me a beautiful box of stunning roses – the exact one I’d mentioned in my wishlist post. Thanks to the team from Jardin de Fleurs! They go perfectly with my new Valentino :)
Die Rockstud Tasche ist ein Traum und die Flowerbox von Jardin de Fleurs sind einfach ein Kunstwerk.
