1 – Rent a scooter:
If you like being independent, you should definitely get a scooter for the time of your stay.
Scooters are pretty easy to drive and the rates aren’t expensive at all.
2 – Don’t rely on Wi-Fi:
Even though there’s some wireless internet connection in most hotels, bars and restaurants, don’t rely on it!
In most cases, you can go online, but the connection is rather slow. Instagram etc. is possible if you’re patient.
3 – Take a day trip around the island:
Kos isn’t too big, so take a day to explore the island and go up country –
beyond the touristic areas near the coast.
4 – Travel Off-Season:
We had a pretty busy summer, so we planned our holiday for September,
and the weather was still perfect for a summer holiday and soaking up lots of vitamin D in the warm sunshine.
If you’re on a budget, this is a great option, plus places aren’t too crowded.
5 – Explore other beaches:
Even though most hotels are located at nice beaches, it’s absolutely worth checking out Paradise beach.
It’s edenic, dreamy, and the sand makes you feel like you’re in the carribean!

These pictures are as good as brochure promotional pics. I’m in awe of the beauty of Kos. Could I move into that white house with the cute stairwell?

Your pictures look amazing! I’ve been to Kos when I was young, after I only visited other islands in Greece.
And you’re totally right concerning the Wifi!
